i think your question "why are some so offended?" is a great one. and i don't know the answer... but i think our sensibilities are connected to our guilt feelings...
I'm the person who shot and posted this video and I work every day as a Homeless Outreach Specialist with Nashville's homeless population. I can tell you that most of my "clients" are great human beings who have made some bad choices in their lives and are suffering mightily as a result. I write about them and the homeless situation in general at Stone Soup Station
More covertly disguised than my counterpart, secret agent b, I have a many sided mission including the homefront and on the streets. Thus I have the priviledge of discovering the handprint of the CEO in many domains. This blog will bring to light the intricate manipulations of the presence of the awesome one at home and abroad as I see it.

If Christ were here, wouldn't He be rejected by the church for treating the homeless not as objects of ministry, but as actual friends?

Thanks Steve, for shooting the video, for being there, for giving people a voice and for your blog... I'll be reading.
And yes, Mike, being friends is both our highest call and the greatest threat to religion. Thanks for sharing.
I agree Miller, guilt must play a part- fear too, control? surely pride.
